Tehumardi Recreation Centre / Description
Tehumardi Recreation Centre was opened in 2004. We are located in the neck of the Sõrve Pensinsula near the sea (~300 m), amidst pines and junipers.
There are 2 ponds on the territory of the recreation centre – one for swimming and the other for rowing and observing the fish. Two ball fields, swings, playground for children. Possibility for making a fire and barbecue.
Family houses, camping sites and hotel rooms on the second floor of the main house await you. The 8-person dormitory named hostel is suitable for a large family or group. Tehumardi Recreation Centre accommodates a total of 100 people.
Designated area for travellers with caravans (electricity, water point and toilet emptying point). You can use your own tent as well. There are a kitchen, toilet and shower for campers, travellers with caravans and visitors of the camping site to use.
For weddings, birthdays, reunions and other events – the party house Fire House (for 130 people). The Forest House and Fish House for smaller groups.
We also rent bicycles. In the spring of 2011, the seasonal cafe Wio opened its doors, providing a light meal and refreshing drinks.
It is 17 km from Tehumardi to Kuressaare. The asphalted light traffic road takes from Tehumardi to Salme (~2 km). The nearest shop and cash machine are located in Salme.
A great place for nature enthusiasts – you can observe the nesting of birds (tomtits, Tristam’s woodpecker, Strigiformes, swallows, etc.) and the life of wild animals (squirrels, deer, hare, elk, wild boars) here.
Nearest sights: Tehumardi battlefield, Järve coastal dunes, Loode oak forest, Pühatu springs, Viieristi coast terrace, Sõrve Peninsula, Kaugatoma and Ohessaare cliffs, Stebeli coastal defence battery, Jämaja church.

Fire House
A large party house for 150 people for weddings, summer days and other events. Music system, speakers. Can be connected to the instruments of a band. A fireplace in the middle of the room. Open all year round.
Fish House
For reunions, birthdays, get-togethers and other events for 30 people. The room is open and has a terrace. Fireplace and volleyball ground in the immediate vicinity.
Forest House
A small house in the grove for smaller events, with a fireplace both inside (safe) and outside. The house has room for about 10 people at a time. A shelter and a long table for about 25 people outside.
Prices of the Fire, Fish and Forest House as agreed. Price depends on the nature of the event and number of people.

Catering
On the shore of the pond of Tehumardi Recreation Centre, there is a small seasonal cafe Wio, which is the only place selling ready-made food in 10 km radius. Wio offers a light meal and drinks. The cafe is open seasonally – only in the summer, but then on every summer day.
We offer hamburgers, Russian ravioli, ice-cream cocktail, smoothies, etc. Also, ice-cold drinks for refreshment on a hot summer day.
For parties, summer days and other groups, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be ordered. |
