Türi Raadiosaatejaamade Asukoht / Description

In 1936, the state of Estonia started building a new main transmitter in Türi to improve the quality of Estonian Radio. The most modern transmitted in Europe at the time started working in 1937. It was 196.6 metres high (including the aerial mast) and the highest establishment in the Nordic countries in its day. The main building, power station and cooling pool of the power station were built. The retreating Red Army blew the radio broadcast station up in 1941. The location is marked with information boards and there is also a rest area.
