Koluvere Castle / Vorstellung

The 14th centurie castle by the Risti-Virtsu road functioned as on of the Ösel-Wiek episcopal residence. The castle is situated on an island in the middle of the dammed-up Liivi river and the moats.
It changed hands several times: owners have been from Germany, Poland, Danish, Sweden and Russia.
The castle have been in fire and also over constructed several times.
