Lighthouse Loode is located on island Saaremaa, on the southwest coast of the peninsula Sõrve and helps to be guided. In 1953 construction of 15 meter lighthouse was complete, below it was painted in white, from above in red. The lamp of lighthouse is located on the height 19 m over the sea, visibility 6 miles, light characteristic: Fl R 2 s; 0,3 + 1,7 = 2 s. In 1979 the light visibility was changed to 4 miles. Since 1993 on the lighthouse have been worked radio isotope generator of energy. The generator was removed. After removal of the generator in 1996 the lighthouse worked at wind and solar energy.
