Mõniste Park / Vorstellung

Mõniste Park is located alongside the Võru-Valga road next to the Mõniste parish. The park was formed around a manor house, which has since been destroyed. In the northern part of the park there is a lake with peninsula. The park is remarkable for its composition of species. Primeval trees like oaks, limes, silver birches and spruces grow here. Rare species like the spindle tree, Manchurian walnut tree, yew-leaved Douglas spruce) and others also grow here. At the park on the road you can find a monument with bears.
