In winter period a much more warmer and cosier church is used, the so-called WINTER CHURCH that is built from the store room of the old pastor's mansion. It was consecrated on December 6, 1992, on the Independence Day of Finland, as the winter church was built with the help of the Finns. The inaugurated name of the winter church is the Widow's and Orphan's Chapel. It is devoted to widows because during the Soviet times they were the ones who gave their small salaries to keep the church alive.
