Hotel Telegraaf April and May news
Best Sommelier 2010
We’re proud to announce that our Food & Beverage Manager Kristjan Peäske has earned the title of Estonia’s Best Sommelier 2010. This March, ten sommeliers competed in taste and technique, and the jury honored our Kristjan Peäske with the title Best Sommelier. Kristjan is a wine nut (or oenophile, when refinement is called for!), and so feel free to engage him in a discussion or call for his recommendation.
A Night of Russian Romance
Join us for our house concert as Moscow’s coloratura soprano Veronika Knaub sings Russian romance classics with the Salon Trio. And since Russian romance often includes Russian food, we haven’t forgotten that, either. Enjoy a selection of zakuska—hors d’oeuvres like herring under fur coat, Beef Stroganov in a puff pastry basket served with mashed potatoes and pickled mushrooms, and Crepp a'la Russe with brandy ice cream—all washed down with a shot of Russia’s finest vodka, Russian Standard. Wednesday, April 14th. Write tchaikovsky@telegraafhotel.com or call +372 6000 610 for reservations.
Telegraaf Terrace Opens May 1
Given the snow records set this recent winter, it’s hard to believe that the terrace season is upon us. But it is. Beginning May first, Telegraaf will open its terrace. It’s perhaps the quietest, most relaxed, sun-drenched terrace in the Old Town and ideal for enjoying a light meal and a glass of wine.
Rod Stewart Live
What better excuse could you need to visit Tallinn? Come see why Rod Stewart has sold over 130 million records throughout his career. And we won’t object if you hum a Rod Stewart tune or two in our lobby. Concert takes place June 12th in Tallinn. Tickets available at http://www.piletilevi.ee. Telegraaf reservations available by calling +372 6000 600, or e-mailing info@telegraafhotel.com.
