Estonia chosen among Europe’s top 50 beaches

29.06.2011
British quality national newspaper `The Independent’ has selected Estonia’s west coast resort of Parnu, known as the `summer capital’, among its latest poll of top 50 beaches in Europe. The beach resort was compared to California in the U.S. for its idyllic beaches and warm summer temperatures.

The newspaper wrote “Temperatures reach up to 30 degrees in Estonia’s answer to California’s coastline. Popular with families for its shallow waters and idyllic setting, the Tervis Hotel boasts a waterpark for children, while the local mud baths should keep the adults entertained”.

With British inbound tourism to Estonia already showing up to 150% increase between 2010 and 2011, Parnu too can expect an invasion of the British. Happily the resort’s gorgeous beaches are wide and long enough to provide plenty of space for all, while the beautiful parks, the concert hall, restaurants and bars in Parnu will keep even the most demanding visitor entertained.
