World Circus Day in Tallinn 2013

You are kindly invited to celebrate the 4th World Circus Day on April 20 together with the Estonian Circus people and circus lovers. The day starts on the Liberty Square with an impressive Circus Parade that flows through the old town to Tammsaare Park where the friendly Circus Olympics event for all takes place.

Come to parade together with the Estonian circus community. Simply put on a spotted tie and join the parade!

April 20th at 13 hrs Circus Olympics
In Tammsaare Park a friendly competition is taking place in juggling, unicycling, handstand, hulahula etc. Everyone is invited, everything is possible! Free of charge

April 20th at 18 hrs the Open Stage of the Estonian Circus takes place in the old Estonian State Puppet & Youth Theatre (Lai 1, Tallinn). Performers include the very best of the Estonian circus: clowns Piip and Tuut, Circus Studio Folie, Omatsirkus, Lemme from the Vaher circus family, magician Meelis Kubo and the circus band Kriminaalne Elevant.

Circus Studio Folie presents amazing young talents together with the musicians from Kriminaalne Elevant. Jugglers, aerialists and acrobats are performing as well as a breathtaking Chinese pole artist.
OMAtsirkus will surprise with a piece from their performance on arrival “A Song Trick” where the young circus artists are playing together with a group of musicians. Lemme Vaher, the youngest member of the well known Vaher Circus family is performing on aerial hoop. Also humour and magic are present in the open stage event: an extraordinary magician Meelis Kubo amazes the audience while the clowns Piip and Tuut give the whole performance a jolly ride.

Tickets are on sale in Piletilevi (12/10€, 1 hour before the performance in the Puppet Theatre all tickets 15€)

April 21st at 14 hrs Juggling Workshop
There is a juggling workshop for all levels in the gym of Salme Kultuurikeskus, Salme 12, lead by Maarja Roolaht and Simon Loisel. Free of charge.
