This photo museum is located behind the Town Hall in the former Town Jail.
The permanent exposition, located on both floors of the building, provides an overview of the history of Estonian photography from 1840 to 1940. The exhibition starts with photographic rarities – daguerreotypes, ambrotypes and ferrotypes. Exhibits and events related to everyday photographic life take place in the museum’s photo cellar, photo attic and photo courtyard.
