Palojärv, the most popular swimming place in Põlva county is located in Kõlleste rural municipality. The lake is very beautiful, it has sandy bottom and clear waters. In summer the water of the lake is warmer than in other lakes of Estonia and therefore it is considered to be the best swimming and recreation place of the region. The heath forest around the lake is suitable for picking wild berries and gathering mushrooms.
