Rebasmäe Allikas / Description

The Rebasmäe Wellspring is the biggest in Põlva County, with a flow rate of 30 litres per second. The water from the spring is rich in iron and does not taste good. The stream flows through a deep valley with deep slopes; the wellspring is surrounded by an alder wood marsh (mostly black alder). Pine trees 30 meters high and 150 years old grow on the sides of the valley. A wooden pathway leads down to the wellspring.
