Theatre Randlane was founded in Haapsalu in March 1978, then called Amateur Theatre Randlane. In 1996, February 21, a nonprofit association called Theatre Randlane was registered.
Several studios have been run alongside with Randlane, a supplement of actors and actresses has come from the studios. Also, the drama class of the Haapsalu Music School has been helping out. Today there is also a studio for young people interested in theatre.
Randlane has about 50 active members - directors, actors, actresses, administation and technicians.
