Thousand hunting tourists in Estonian forests in a year

About a thousand foreign hunters come to Estonia every year to hunt roes, wild boars and elks. Kalev Manniste from the State Forest Management Centre said that they offer hunting opportunities for about 700 tourists a year. The Director of the Estonian Hunters' Association, Andres Lillemae, said that about 200 foreign hunters in a year come hunting through their organisation. There are many Italian bird hunters and Finnish wild boar hunters. Tourists usually arrive in the middle of the week and leave on Sunday.
