Parnu aims to double tourists with new seafront

Parnu plans to spend EEK 25 million (EUR 1.6 million) on completing the construction of its seafront, extending the Kuursaal parking lot and cleaning up a plot of land near the beach. The new-look seafront will be completed in June, the money coming from Parnu City Council and the EU. After the seafront is completed, five food kiosks, a catering tent and a storeroom will be opened there. Creating bicycle stands has also been discussed. The coastal town is hoping to attract twice as many tourists with the new seafront.
