Estonian Air improves its website e-services

The Estonian Air website at www.estonian-air.ee has undergone a major improvement where, in addition to design refreshment, the flight booking process has been significantly simplified. Improvements to the website have been made in cooperation with Velvet Digital Paper team.

The European Commission report published in May revealed that Estonian Air is one of the few European airlines whose ticket-selling website is in complete compliance with EU consumer protection rules, and information is provided in a clear, transparent and user-friendly way. Taking into account the European Commission comments and the increasing role of the Internet as a sales channel, Estonian Air aims to make its site even more convenient and customer-friendly.

The innovative features of the site allow the customers to select flight destinations and dates more easily and quickly than before (tickets can be bought to more than 160 destinations), to check in online and select a seat on the plane, check and insert EuroBonus points, pre-order an onboard meal, check the status of their flight ticket, book accommodation or rent a car. In addition to the Estonian Air website, blog and forum, Estonian Air staff gives information and shares their thoughts with customers and friends about the airline, aviation and travelling in general using Twitter and Facebook, as well.

“Developing high quality and customer-friendly services is very important for us. Therefore it is important to make using our website easy and provide information there in a clear and understandable way,” commented Enn Lamp, Estonian Air Director e-commerce and distribution on the improvements to the site. “We wish to bring the activities of our airline closer to our clients, but also to everyone interested in aviation, as well, “ added Lamp.



“The previous website created more than a year ago was good, but the new one is even better! We observed the operation and usage of the website for a year, and on that basis developed a solution that brings out the features important for users of the site more efficiently,” said Janno Siimar, creative manager of Velvet Digital Paper.
