In winter, when the rivers and the sea are covered in ice and people are drawn to the snow and the ice rinks to ski and skate, Pärnu draws families to it from all over the world.

The Pärnu Ice Festival brings some of the summer fun back to the wintry resort, presenting a wide range of activities over 9 days. You can go hiking and take part in sports competitions, there is music and dance, theatre and workshops, a food party and master classes, snow picnics and sleigh rides, and to top it all off Estonia's birthday! During the festival there is fun for all ages. The heart of the festival is in the historical heart of Pärnu, with outdoor cafes, a fair, workshops and a full programme of events. Excursions begin from here across snow and ice alike.

18.02 OPENING OF THE ICEFESTIVAL
Entertaining opening show at Vallikäär. Warming-up activities. Lots of light, fire and music.

19.02 SKATING PARTY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Skating party and masquerade on the Moat ice for the whole family.
Opening of skating rinks in the town and county.
Demonstration performances of hobby skating schools.
Snowy activities on Munamägi Hill.
Jazz Club of the Endla Theatre.

20.02 RAGING SNOW!
Building of a snow town on the Vallikäär meadow.
Opening of the Nature Film Festival in the Sütevaka Private High School of Humanities
Proovikas Youth Band Contest in the Endla Theatre

21.02. Film Festival Programme in the schools and cafés of the Pärnu town and county
Winter Championship of the Endla Theatre in the downtown skating rink and at the Munamägi Hill

22.02. SNOW CALLS YOU!
Nature hiking tours on the Pärnu River and in the county on the initiative of rural municipalities.

23.02. GOOD ESTONIAN PRODUCTS!
Workshops of the Maarja-Magdaleena Guild, workshops in the cultural centres of the county and in tourism farms.
Estonian Food Week in the cafés and restaurants of Pärnu and in the Vocational Education Centre
