Between April 20 and May 6, the European Capital of Culture Tallinn will be taken over by the new international performing arts festival POT

POT is dedicated to new works, to artists who have a vision of the world, and to viewers who dare to challenge their own vision of the world. Theater, music, dance, film and all possible combinations of the aforementioned – POT is a cosmopolitan urban festival that dissects the various facets of performing arts.

The Theater Festival Baltoscandal, the Kanuti Gildi SAAL and the Von Krahl Theatre join forces to bring to Tallinn new names from performing arts all over the world. Along with Baltoscandal, the Rakvere Theatre will also move to Tallinn and present its various projects during the week in the cultural institutions of Tallinn’s districts and also in the KUMU hall and the Russian Drama Theatre of Estonia.

Among the international companies arriving in Tallinn are: Kornel Mundruczo (Hungary), Chelfitsch (Japan), Edit Kaldor (Netherlands), Superamas (France/Austria) Amund Sveen (Norway), Anna Mendelssohn (Austria) and Giovanni Magnarelli (Italy).

Contributing from Estonia are: Von Krahl Theatre, Rakvere Theatre, Russian Theatre, Tartu Uus Teater, Teet Kask, Krista Köster, Sandra Z, Emer Värk, Mart Kangro, Mart Koldits and EKA, MIM etc.

POT Festival. The Tallinn performing arts festival is one of the star events in the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011 program.
