Estonian Air and Tallinn 2011: fly your friends to the Capital of Culture

26.04.2011
Estonian Air and Foundation Tallinn 2011 started a joint campaign to encourage Estonians to invite their friends from abroad to visit the capital of culture.

Those inviting their friends will have the opportunity to participate in the weekly draw to win a free round-trip flight ticket. The campaign runs for four months.

"The status of Capital of Culture and the program of events offer us an excellent opportunity to introduce Tallinn – here is what to watch, to experience and share with friends. If not this year, then when?” said Gunnar Mägi, Estonian Air's Development and Marketing Director.

"As the carrier of Capital of Culture, Estonian Air flies to destinations across Europe, from where we are looking for a lot of people to visit Tallinn and events of the European Capital of Culture," commented on the value of the cooperation with Estonian Air Jaanus Mutli, a board member of the Foundation Tallinn 2011.

In order to take part in a weekly draw to win a free round-trip flight ticket to an Estonian Air direct flight destination, the invited friend has to fly with Estonian Air to Tallinn and back between 25 April and 11 September 2011. One winner will be drawn, receiving one return tourist class ticket on a direct Estonian Air flight of her/his choice between 1 September 2011 and 31 March 2012 (excluding the period from 20 December 2011 to 10 January 2012). The number of prize seats on flights will be limited. The winner can book the flight via the Estonian Air website.

Estonian Air is the official carrier of the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011 and will hold this title until the end of 2011. In terms of the cooperation, one Estonian Air aircraft is carrying the Tallinn 2011 logos and is assigned to deliver news and messages from the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011 to the widest audience in a very innovative and unusual way – on its fuselage.

As an ambassador of the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011, the aircraft will fly to most of Estonian Air´s direct destinations delivering messages from Tallinn, the European Capital of Culture of 2011, to tens of millions pairs of eyes in Estonia as well as abroad.
