12th International Contemporary Dance Festival takes place from 15th to 31st August in Tallinn.

August Dance Festival has become over the years an internationally valued summer end dance festival in Europe being the most known contemporary dance festival in Estonia. As the festival belongs to the European Culture Capital Tallinn 2011 programme, it is bigger then ever before.

In the end of August awaits us two weeks full of very different plays in theatres and streets of Tallinn.

August Dance Festival has never been afraid to cross the boundaries of stereotypes by breaking them to pieces even with force. This years` programme is no different: through creeping, outsmarting, pushing or dancing are performers crashing the borders of dance-art and other types of art. Once again is the purpose to make the audience wonder, cheer, hate and think everywhere in Tallinn.
