The festival showcases throughout three thematic days percussion instruments in all their richness and individuality, from the ancient folk instrument of African jungles to the favourite instrument of contemporary composers.

WORLD DAY - percussion instrument in World Music
Rock Cafe

7 PM djembe-club with Indian and African dishes (Villa Thai, cafe Volang and Pipramoos buffet)

8 PM ensemble DRUMS UNITED Ten artists from eight different countries led by the legendary Lucas van Merwijk (Netherlands)

A world rhythms show of spectacular energy combines African (talking drum), Latin-American, Spanish (flamenco) and Indian ethnic drum traditions, song and dance with modern percussion music, so by the end of the programme they are joined by electronics and a DJ.

CLASSICS DAY
House of the Blackheads (Pikk street 26)
7 PM

The concert features acoustic-electronic music, including a new piece commissioned from Tatjana Kozlova for percussion instruments, electronics and phonograms. Instrumental theatre style - the audience around the performers and vice versa, the sound around the audience.

JAZZ DAY

Various jazz-drum styles throughout time.
Estonia's best jazz-percussionists performing.
