Urvaste church is considered to be one of the oldest churches in Võrumaa. Urvaste church is built as a Gothic basilica, and as such a country church, it is unique in Estonia. The nave has an aisle on both sides while the transept is lit by pairs of windows in the clerestory, which deserve to be noticed for their architectural value.
