Saaremaa experiences new drive for tourism

Though the Estonian island of Saaremaa has not complained about a lack of tourists, its new port is breathing fresh life into the local tourism sector. The new harbour opens Saaremaa to cruise ships like the Lili Marleen, now docking here every two weeks throughout the summer, and introduces the island as an exciting new destination, not just as a health resort. However, the people of the island should now make an effort to offer tourists interesting experiences, especially away from traditional places like the Kuressaare.
