Hansa Days in Tartu

During this festival, one of the most popular in Tartu, the city smells of many different things - the scents of different eras throughout history; the aroma of baking bread and meals being cooked; tea and sweets; plants and animals.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Hansa Days: locals and visitors and buyers and sellers alike. Those with an interest in history will be drawn to Antonius Courtyard in Jaanalinn and to St John's Church, where there will be a Medieval Garden during the festival. There will also be theatrical performances around the city and of course a traditinal Hansa wedding!
