St. Paul's Lutheran Church In Tartu / Apraksts

31 May 1915, a cornerstone was placed to the St. Paul's Church. Over half of the construction cocts had been borrowed. An organ was purchased as well. Interior work was finished in two years and on 9 November 1919, Bishop Jakob Kukk consecrated the church.
The church had 3,000 seats and it had room for up to 7,000 people. At the beginning of the 1930's, a three- storey wing building was built for the church.
25 March 1944, there was a fire in the church.
By the autumn of 1946, the steeple's roof had been restored and 1 December 1946, the church bells started ringing again.
