Valgehobusemäe Skiing And Holiday Centre / Apraksts
Albu Rural Municipality started the foundation of the Valgehobusemäe Ski and Recreation Centre in 1997, when a plot of land with the size of 14 ha was bought here. Their aim was to establish a year-round recreational sports centre for all enthusiasts. The project manager is Kalju Kertsmik, Mayor of Albu Rural Municipality. Jaak Mae, one of the most successful Estonian cross-country skiers, also belongs to the project team.The centre is developing into the regional recreational sports centre of Järva County!
The Sports and Recreation Centre offers the following free time activities:
- hiking tours
- ski, run and bicycle races, competitions in orienteering
- events of Nordic walking
- walks on the orienteering trail
- basic training in snowboarding and slalom skiing
- observation of picturesque surroundings of Kõrvemaa from the lookout tower
