Number of business-class hotels growing in Tallinn

By summer 2007 the latest, 875 four-star hotel rooms and 239 five-star hotel rooms will be completed in Tallinn. In the next two years Tallinn will also have an additional 260 three-star hotel rooms. But the strong increase in business-class rooms is surprising in a world where tourists are searching for cheaper accommodation opportunities. It is likely that some hotels will have to move to lower categories soon. Most hotels in Tallinn have been built or fully renovated in the last ten years. Most hotel customers use bus, ship or plane to get to Tallinn, but not the train. Foreign tourists can only come from Moscow by train.
