European Neighbours day in Elva on May of 27. -28. belongs to the Capital of Culture 2011 program as an official event.

Neighbour Day is a celebration of community, bringing together the people next door, across the street or on the next state for a dance, grill or song party. On Neighbours day celebration in Elva would be introduced Estonian folk tradition and skills and offer a genuine small town environment - woodcraft and handicraft workshops, international fair, performances, Tartu county tourist attractions and etc.
