Regardless of whether one visits the town in early spring, summer, autumn or winter, Narva always offers something special and unique.
As In the past, Narva remains a melting pot for nations, periods and cultures, old and new. This is what makes the town so special. The 13th century castle, a beautiful baroque Town Hall, the best preserved system of historic defence building (bastions) in Europe, Krenholm textile plant (once Europe’s largest, and an excellent example of British industrial architecture), waterfalls, and much, much more.

Narva castle on one shore of the river, and Jaanilinna castle on the other, form a unique architectural ensemble. Visitors can choose from a variety of concerts, festivals and open-air shows that take place both in the inner yard of the Narva castle, and elsewhere in the town, such as in the newly-built ice skating stadium.
The tourism infrastructure has lately been and expanded, with new hotels, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues.
Outside the town one can find pristine nature and hiking routes ranging from the Sinimäe hills to the coastal resort of Narva-Jõesuu. The letter is only 14 kilometers from Narva, with its beautiful coast, parks and pine forests, Narva-Jõesuu is truly worth visiting. An Estonia proverb says “You see best with your own eyes” which is just why one should come and see for oneself the historic landmarks, bask in the sun on the coast of Gulf of Finland and marvel at the changes that are transforming the town.
