Sculpture Father And Son / Beskrivning
The bronze sculpture, “Father and Son”, created by sculptor Ülo Õuna (1944-1988), was placed on Küüni Street, on Children’s Day (’childrens protection day’), 1 June 2004.The work had been conceived by 1977, and was cast in bronze in 1987. It was initially planned to be placed in Tallinn, however, the Tartu Town Government purchased the sculpture in the autumn of 2001.
The father is depicted by the sculptor Ülo Õuna and the son is modelled after his son Kristjan when he was one and a half years old.
