Väike Vanemuine / Beskrivning

Our theatre has two houses that are both located in Vanemuine Street. The Small House was built in 1906 for the local German Theatre, and it has
belonged to the Vanemuine since 1944. This Art Nouveau building with a beautiful white silhouette has become a symbol of Tartu. The Vanemuine
presents its more intimate plays and dance performances here. However, its marvellous acoustics make it also a perfect 400-seat opera house. In addition, there is an 80-seat oval hall for concerts and one-man-shows.
