Ruhnu people fear the breaking of air traffic

01.02.2006
Air traffic with Ruhnu may stop in May because Parnu airline company, Air Livonia, has been wound up. Air Livonia has been renting planes from Latvia to service the Parnu-Ruhnu-Kuressaare route. Ruhnu municipal council has turned to the Ministry of Economics and Communication with a request to guarantee constant air traffic to the island. This year’s national subsidy for Ruhnu air traffic is EEK 2.5-2.6 million.
