Estonian spas expanding fast
The continuing popularity of Estonian spa and wellness centres among foreign tourists has encouraged spas to expand and offer new beauty and treatment services. The Fra Mare Spa in Haapsalu will soon get an EEK 50 million (EUR 3.2 million) extension, to be finished this autumn, and hopes this will attract Scandinavian and Western European customers. There will be new procedure rooms in the extension as well as hotel rooms that will accommodate 40 more customers. The Viimsi Tervis Spa hotel is also planning to start building an extension says its executive manager Mark Vuuk. The Pirita TOP Spa hotel will grow too – a new restaurant will be built there. The Kalev Spa Hotel, which has now been working for more than four months, is also doing well.
