Mustvee Lutheran Church / Beskrivning

The Lutheran Church was started in 1877 (the architect J.Maas). The walls were built up fast but in 1878 the tower collapsed. Nevertheless the church was completed and consecrated in 1880. It is a single-naved neo-Gothic stone church. The interior of the church was damaged in the fire of 1939. The altarpiece “Resurrection” by W.E.Krüger was saved. The new altar was brought from St.John’s of Viljandi and the Baroque pews from the Swedish St.Michael’s of Tallinn.
