The museum’s collection contains more than 400 works of art and more than 1200 documentaries are kept in its videotheque. The art centre established by Mark Soosaar is extremely important in the cultural life of Pärnu.

The international exhibition of nudes Man and Woman has become a tradition of the museum.
The Pärnu Film Festival where international documentaries compete with each other and new Estonian documentaries are introduced has been held twenty three times now.
