The Pütsepa Boulder

The Pütsepa Boulder / Vorstellung

The Pütsepa Boulder is located in the Vastseliina parish, 0.4 km south of the Pütsepa village. The stone is also known as the Jeremi or Suure (meaning "Grand") boulder and it is the biggest in Võrumaa. The boulder has a regular oval basic shape, distinctly observable ridge and top, and almost vertical southern side. The maximum height of the boulder is 4.4 m, the average height is 3.5 m, the length 6.6 m, the width 4.6 m and the volume 54 m³.
