The House of Alderman Steiner built in 1647 and the House of Heno the Chemist built in 1670 were one after another bought by Schmidt’s Department Store. In 1877, the houses were reconstructed into a single building by a new façade built between them. Now it is the home of the Pärnu Kunstide Maja (Pärnu House of Art).
